EuCAN Volunteers at work in Sherborne

EuCAN volunteers and contractors have been involved for several years in the conservation management of a small area of species rich limestone grassland on the edge of Sherborne in Dorset – and on February 14th 2015 a small group combined with Butterfly Conservation volunteers to help remove invading blackthorn and rank grass from the fields in preparation for the growing season to come. Local radio presenter Jenny Devitt interviewed several volunteers and devoted a considerable chunk of her Local World slot on Sherborne’s Abbey104 FM local radio station.
