Lillington Churchyard wall completed!

Saturday April 9th was the day we had chosen for the final work on the Lillington Churchyard wall. We used a lot more of the available stone to raise the height to about 4 ft, then moved the selected coping stones into place. Even though the day was punctuated by heavy hail and rain showers, it was very satisfying to complete the job – and made all the more pleasant by the wonderful refreshments that the villagers provided for us. Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to this task over the four days we were there!
