About us

EuCAN is funded by the Leonardo da Vinci section of the European Union’s Lifelong Learning Programme and is dedicated to encouraging engagement in conservation projects across Europe.

This exciting project has now run for four years since it was established in 2007 in association with the Dorset Branch of Butterfly Conservation and several partners in Europe. So far it has enabled nearly 300 people to take part in 21 different placements with 9 host partners and has made a considerable impact on European nature conservation.
