Training weekends

Where practical, participants will be expected to attend one of the introductory 2-night training/preparation weekends at The Kingcombe Centre in west Dorset. These run from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. Accommodation and food will be fully funded; travel expenses for the weekend will be reimbursed in certain circumstances.

The weekends will involve a day of practical conservation work, a chance to meet participants from previous visits, to learn about the culture, history, language and ecology of the areas to be visited, and generally to become familiar with the project. We will also be running a brushcutter training course on each of the weekends for those who would like to be trained.
